Meet Kylie Tice

About a week ago my sister-in-law, Kristie, went into the hospital because at just 25 1/2 weeks along she started leaking fluid.  They put her in a room pretty much upside-down in bed but 5 days later her water still broke and she had a fever so they decided it was time for Kylie to be born.  Kylie was born on May 31st just before midnight.  She weighed just 1 pound and 15 ounces.  She has been such a fighter.  Even though only one of her eyes has opened she has already able to breathe on her own and is starting to eat a little bit of breast milk through a dropper.  I am so excited about my little niece and I thank my Heavenly Father for letting her come to us safely!  I also want to thank Erin and her friends at the hospital for taking such great care of my little niece and our buddy Drake Hardman who is also in the NICU.  The first picture is of the proud parents.  The next pictures were taken at about 3 hours old when Shawn and I were able to see her (amazing!  we didn't think we would be able to!).  The last two were taken this afternoon at about 3 days old.

Thank heaven for modern medicine. It is so AMAZING that she is doing so well. We will put her in our prayers as well that she will continue to develop and become stronger and healthier.

Sweet little baby. I know that it is hard to have a baby in the NICU, but at least the baby is well taken care of. We will pray for her as well.
