Alex had another ear infection this week - except in the other ear this time. I didn't think that it could be an ear infection since the last one he had made it so he didn't want to nurse. We took him to the night time kids care at his doctor's office because he had high fevers and wasn't acting his normal energetic self. There was a lady doctor that he didn't care for much. She didn't find anything in his ear so they decided to do a catheter which didn't do any good since he had just emptied his bladder. Then they stuck this bag over his boy parts and told us to come back after he had urinated. That took an hour and a half. Then we were supposed to follow up with his regular doctor the next day. Doctor Boam asked me to bring him in again. This time the ear infection was visible. He says sometimes they miss them right at the begining because the ear hasn't got all swollen yet. So all the fuss about a supposed bladder infection was unnecessary. I am sorry little man. It has been really crappy because he has been kind of fussy. He looks at me with those sad eyes as if to say, "Mommy fix it." I feel so bad for him because there isn't much I can do to make him feel better. All he wants to do is be held and rocked. That is not a bad thing most of the time. I haven't slept super well but he seems to be doing better this evening with some help from the prescription and some ibuprofen. Hopefully we will all sleep better. I guess I can just count my blessings that my otherwise not-so-cuddly son is hugging with Mommy.

So sorry to hear that your little man is sick! That is no fun! Hope he gets better soon! I hear ya with the cuddling thing, though - James usually never cuddles except when he's not feeling well, so that is one kind of nice thing.
Oh, poor little guy. That makes for some hard days, and nights. Does he get those often? Hey, if you are ever in need of a play date, LET ME KNOW! You are so close, it would be fun to get together:) Hope you all get a little more sleep.
I don't have the girls on the weekends so if you need me to come sleep over and take care of him so you guys can get a night of sleep just call! I'll be over in a heart beat. Hope he gets feeling better.
Poor little buddy! I hate when Oak is sick and I am sure that you are the same. One thing to look forward to is when he is talking he can tell what hurts, it helps out alot when going to the doctor when he can just say that his ear hurts!
I am sorry I have had 2 kids out of 3 end up with tubes in their ears because of their infections. Good luck to you.
