Camping with Zackary

We got to go to the cabin with Shawn's family over Labor Day weekend. They are selling it so it may be our last visit. One of Alex's favorite people was there - Zackary! Zack is Alex's cousin that is 7 months older than Alex. He loves to play with him and try to do the things that Zack can do. He also loves the dogs, ALL dogs. Probably his favorite cabin activity is napping outside with Daddy. He does it every chance he gets. I think Shawn enjoys it as well.

Alex Is Smiling...Or Is He?

So everyone keeps asking me how we get Alex to smile in his pictures. Honestly there is almost zero work involved. He is always smiling during the day. However, if you would like to visit at 12:30-1:00 in the morning you will find a totally different child. Alex has slept really well his whole life except the past couple of weeks. He turns into the devil when the sun goes down. He doesn't know what he wants. All he knows is he wants it now. He will cry for hours on end until we bring him in our bed with us. Finally, last night we were able to stay calm long enough that he cried himself back to sleep (only took 45 minutes!) and slept until 4:30 when he woke and I was happy to nurse him. I don't have any pictures of these nights for two reasons. We are in our underwear at 1 AM. Also, I would not want anyone to see us (or hear us) at our worst. Don't worry, we do not beat our child (I'm sure some of our neighbors think that). We will get through this somehow and hopefully we will have our bed back to just the two of us by the end of the week. :)

6 Months Already!

I can't believe Alex is 6 months already. He is sitting and rolling and scooting around. Today at the mall the Kidie Kandids people came and grabbed us and did a free picture of Alex. None of them could get over how cute he is! What a sweet boy.

Boating

We got the awesome opportunity to go boating with my aunt and uncle this last weekend. Yes, Alex too. We all had a blast. Alex loved the boat! We only got a little sore afterward. Thanks Suzy and Rocky!

We have some awesome video of the water skiing, etc but I am unsure how to get it from our camera to the blog so Shawn will have to help with that later.



Heidi looked like a super model with her killer curves and ginormous sunglasses. She is such a pretty girl. I suppose I shouldn't say girl anymore though. She is almost 18. I can't believe how time has past. I remember when she was just Alex's age.

I got such a huge response with Shawn's "naked" picture I thought I would try one of my dad without his shirt on. Alex loves his PaPa.

Rub A Dub Dub...

ALEX IN THE TUB! Well, actually it's the sink. I started trying to wipe him down after eating a baby cookie and decided it was easier to take him to the water than bring the water to him. He thought it was funny.


As you can see he has found his boy parts. Any advice anyone?
